We gladly welcome the “Plastic waste and the Black Sea” project, ARGANS, as a new EFAS Research partner. The project is a set of applications for the litter monitoring in the Back Sea. EFAS data will be used to implement the litter land model, as land based plastic waste in relation with river flow contributes heavily to the volume of marine litter. EFAS data will allow to have an estimate of the volume of litter carried by rivers in near real time.
